(AP) News out of Phoenix has just broke. Coyotes GM Mike Ausitn has made his first trade of the inagural IWHL season. The Yotes Yeller has just learned that Allyn Mccauley will not play one single team with the Blue Jackets. Instead he will be heading to Phoenix in exchange for the Coyotes 2nd and 4th round picks in the Prospects draft.
When asked GM Austin made the final comment "Allyn will be a great addition to the Coyotes. He is one of the best defensive centers out there. He will be a core part of our penalty kill. We are also happy that this gives us the opportunity to keep some of younger players on the Canyon (the Coyotes farm team) to develop further." We pushed Austin to see if he was concerned with giving up two prospects to get the 28 year old Mccauley. "Not at all, these prospects can be crap shoots. I'd rather know what I'm getting".
When asked if he was done making deals. Austin said not at all. He apparently has feelers out there trying to solidfy his defense core. Watch for more movement coming out of the state of Arizona.
