(GM Mike Austin walks to a podum in the center of the room)
Austin - Good evening folks, thanks for coming this evening. I wanted to officially introduce you to the inaugural captains of the Phoenix Coyotes. They are all here, so I will ask them to come and join me on stage when I announce them. After which they will answers questions if you have any. So without further adieu, let me introduce you to our first Alternative Captain:
He may of been added to our roster late, but he's going to provide a lot of vetern leadership to the team... Please join me and welcoming Sean O'Donnel.
Out second Alternative Captain is a long time vetern... he was brought in to provide some leadership and help us train our veterns... We also have expectations that he still has some of that scoring touch left and will provide some fear to some our opponents goaltenders..... Monsieur Luc Robataille... please come on out.
And now for our captain... he was selected to anchor our defense. His brusing, physical style is not the only thing we like about Mr. Adam Foote the Captain of YOUR PHOENIX COYOTES... I'll now turn it over to you for questions:
Reporter 1 - I have to ask the obvious question... Sean does this mean that you have secured a spot on the roster and if so who will not get regular playing time this year?
O'Donnell - Well, like... I don't know what to say... errr.... I'm very happy to be here... I like Phoneix the weather is warm....
Reporters - Mr. Austin do since it's obvious that he's going to avoid answering the question... do you want to anser it?
Austin - No roster changes or announcements have been finalized as of today.... but leadership is needed for any team that wants to take a run at the cup... Sean brings leadership to this team and we look forward to his presence on our blueline and having him help develop our youngsters.
Reporter - Adam what do you think the teams chances of winning the cup are this year?
Foote - We have a great chance. Look at our team, it's fast... we have good scoring (Heatley, St. Louis and Nagy will provide punch I'm sure. We've got a good mixture of veterns and rookies. We also have a lot of cap room to make moves as we see fit. I couldn't be happier to be in Phoenix.
(Hustle as handlers come to the stage...)
Austin - Well excuse me folks... we really need to run...
(And with everyone leaves the stage and icons begin to be flashed on the screen behind the podoum. The TSN Logo, Coors, Coke and HSBC logos are all flashing)
