above: That's a depressed bear! Well the new GM of the Buffalo Sabres thought about his team over the night and took another look today at his team and there is nothing much to feel good about. First of all the team is -$10M for current funds which means the Sabres won't be able to offer anyone a signing bonus during free agency period and until the money situation is taken care of nothing much can be done. First and foremost the financial situation needs to be taken care of first. The 2nd big problem for the team is that there are 15 unrestricted free agents on the team. Now this is a double edged sword in that the team will be able to let a lot of free agents walk and that will drop the payroll down, but in their place you need someone to play. Players that will be let go for sure are Luke Richardson, Geoff Sanderson, Eric Daze and if Jeremy Roenick and Curtis Joseph don't want big cuts in their salaries then they will be gone. There is some decent youth on the roster though so the Sabres do have some youth to work with. Steve Bernier, Ryan Parent, T.J. Oshie, and Anthony Stewart are 4 good young players that are already created and give Graczyk some assets to already work with. All in all it will be an interesting season to come and there will be some good players going onto the UFA market courtesy of the Sabres. If anyone needs to get ahold of me my e-mail is islandnucker@yahoo.ca with tyegraczyk@hotmail.com for the MSN. I don't check my hotmail account much so don't send anything there. If people have ICQ as well, that's what I use mostly my # is 175703655
